Villas for sale in Petitenget / Batu Belig

Kelurahan Kerobokan Kelod, Kecamatan Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung

Two beach names share this page. Batu Belig and Petitenget sit side by side on the coast of Kerobokan Kelod, with Batu Belig just to the northwest and Seminyak beach further down the same shore. Behind the sand, Jalan Petitenget and Jalan Batu Belig lead inland past hotels, restaurants, spas and villas.

The landmark is Pura Petitenget, a seaside temple linked to the priest Dang Hyang Nirartha and cared for by the customary village of Kerobokan. A few days before Nyepi (the day of silence), melasti purification processions come down to the beach here. Badung's beach lifeguards (Balawista) work this stretch and use red flags, and currents can be strong, so swim only where they say it is safe. From the center of the area, the beach is less than 5 minutes away by motorbike (our estimate), and Seminyak is close too. Petitenget and Batu Belig suit people who want the sea within easy reach and don't mind sharing the streets with visitors.

Leasehold (a long-term lease) is the usual route for foreigners, as freehold (Hak Milik) is for Indonesians only. This close to the sea and to Pura Petitenget, check the beach setback and the temple's protected area before you commit, and confirm in writing what the zone allows, including holiday rental.
